Normaly logging shouldn't be causing this since during a delete/move we don't log anything at all. But to be sure you could (for the test) diasable logging and test it again.

Maybe this in itself is not normal? This may be tied to the fact that when I first start SA it takes 2-3 minutes for the GUI to become responsive as it loads the host file.
