SMTP2POP3 COM uses:
        pops50.ocx
        smtps50.ocx
        comsmtp2pop3.dll

And from a registry point of view it needs:
        SOFTWARE\DBU Consulting\Servers
Alive\COMCheck\W00000008\Long_description
        SOFTWARE\DBU Consulting\Servers
Alive\COMCheck\W00000008\Short_description
        SOFTWARE\DBU Consulting\Servers Alive\COMCheck\W00000008\Object_Name

Internaly we will reference it using W00000008 and based on that ID we get
the Object_name from the registry.

The only reason I can see that it's not showing the interface is that the OS
is not able to load the DLL that we reference, being comsmtp2pop3.dll
As for why the OS can't do this, I have no clue at all.

Subject: RE: [SA-list] SMTP2POP3 Errors

Hi Dirk,

Do you have any pointers on things I could check on this problem? What
files and versions are related to the SMTP2POP3 COM check? What about
registry keys? What would cause ServersAlive to lose its reference to the
SMTP2POP3 COM component? It's still odd to me that clicking the "Configure"
button after the checks begin failing doesn't bring up the SMTP2POP3
configuration page.

This machine is dedicated to ServersAlive, so there aren't any other apps
that would be conflicting.

Nate
