Does anyone out there have Servers Alive set up to send a single alert at the end of each check cycle indicating that there are checks in a DOWN condition?
What I am looking to achieve is having Servers Alive send out a single message at the end of a check cycle indicating that there are checks that have failed, obviously no message is required if everything is OK. I have a team of support personnel who are located remotely from the Servers Alive system, and I want to be able to alert these staff to look at Servers Alive via a web page and deal with any issues, but I don't want to have each / every down condition alerted. I am currently alerting on each down, but get complaints from support staff if there are a large number of Windows Messenger alerts, and they also become complacent and don't always read all alerts if there are a large number, this means that occasionally some DOWN conditions are overlooked. I suppose I am looking to implement something similar in idea to the Status Summary that is in V5, with only DOWN conditions being alerted, although this doesn't seem to provide for using Windows Messenger as a transport mechanism. Any feedback / ideas /examples of anything that may be similar.... would be appreciated.
