I have SA poll our environmental device using OID’s every 2 mins pulling back a temp value. I’m not seeing how a 120 second +/- delay between checks is going to serve you better? Or another scenario have an environmental sensor send SA a trap saying its too hot in a room, and have it trigger SA and send me a message.
