Nope! The Quazar Surround was first mentioned on the sam-users list in late 1994 when I was designing it, and then first demonstrated in April '95 at the Gloucester show. It was not advertised until that April once it was nearing release. In 1991, the only sound interface that was around was the Blue Alpha Sampler, which was on sale at the time for around 50 quid.
