Buy the much cheaper HD discs (only fl 4.95 at Escom = approx 2.10 pounds per
10). Unfortunately these aren't preformatted as SAMdos discs. Because all
the SAM drives are basically crippled high density drives (I think) they have
the little HD detector still sitting in the drive. If you put a HD disc in
the drive the disc will not work. So you have to make the drive think it is
a DD disc by using sticky tape to cover up the HD hole.

BTW has anybody got a decent program lying around which will write to MS-DOS
discs? KE-Disk is driving me up the wall since it is not doing what it is
supposed to. I can't get my file (200k) saved to the disc properly - the
file saved is simply different from what was supposed to be saved. Also I'm
too lazy to write a write routine.

BASED ON AN IDEA... sounds nice. How will you fill 64 pages though? If
you've got some idea which you'd like me to write about then let me know
Simon.

And that was that.
