Thanks for the info Si - never knew about that signature. I was gonna dig that out of the SAMDOS/MasterDOS source but I'd not got around to it. Certainly much easier to locate that sector than have to bother scanning directory structures too. I just had a look at SAMDOS and Prince of Persia, and it seemed to be from offset 256 in the sector instead of 124 - is the offset not fixed? Si
