Not heard myself either, though the FAQ says:

Q: Is there any incompatibilities between ZX Spectrum and Sprinter?
A: All programs for original ZX Spectrum will work perfectly in 'ZX
Spectrum' mode.

Anyone know if contention is fully supported too? I would /guess/
probably not, so anything timing sensitive won't "work perfectly".
Still, that's not a problem for most Spectrum software as it really only
affects hi-res colour effects.

Mike Wynne's SpeccyBob (as mentioned on the list a while back) does seem
to do all the timing correctly, but it was custom built to be just a
Spectrum.

It might come down to the contention being the main issue again, which
is important for many SAM software titles. Without it, it'd probably
behave like early SimCoupé versions, with video effects being misaligned
and (in extreme cases) software crashing (Part 2 of MnemoDemo 1 is quite
sensitive!). I have a vague memory Simon Cooke ran into some software
issues with the SAM accelerator...?

I suppose the CPU is compatible, and the display modes and paging
shouldn't really be a problem, though it'd need an SAA 1099 in there for
sound too. It would be excellent to have a 99.9% SAM compatible unit
built out of new reliable components, so I hope it's more flexible than
I imagine!
