ZS Scorpion 256k also has centetion and it is emulated well in Sprinter. So I think emulation of original Spectrums has contention support too.

Yes, this will be most difficult thing to do. But they did AY emulation, and so they have some experience with PSGs :)
so I hope it's more flexible than I imagine!
It is! Design anything you want, program PLM and you'll have a ready to use device. No soldering, no PCB, no waste of time ;)
