hi Jonathan, I can supply you with the data of original Sam Coupe Power Supply: 5 volts DC, 2 Ampere12 volts DC, 0,1 Ampere compare that with the Power Supply you got, if the plus 3 Power Supply has the same data then its technically ok to use it, but the Power Supply plug on computer side is probably different. Sam Coupe has a standard DIN 5 pole plug. Check your handbook on page 173 for the data. If the plus 3 Power Supply has higher than a 5 volts DC supply, then its not ok to use it though (might be the case, as original ZX Spectrum has about 9 to 12 Volts DC Power Supply). Thomas

I have a question about the sam coupe power input. Wasn't sure where to ask it so I thought I would try here A while ago I bought a sam coupe on the net. It didn't have a power supply but the seller said that a spectrum +3 supply works with sam and sent one along with the it. For one reason or another I hadn't got round to trying to test it till yesterday. The problem is I don't want to plug it in until I know that this power supply will work. Could the spectrum +3 psu possibly supply the sam with power ok? Thanks for your help. Jonathan.
