here is the result:

august@August-Ryzen:~$ scanimage -L
scanimage: symbol lookup error: scanimage: undefined symbol: md5_buffer
august@August-Ryzen:~$


It did work before. Don't know what happened here.


So I tested it on my U20.04 (VM): same result.

Another test: U16.04

august@AMD4:~$ scanimage -L
device `bus7;dev1' is a Brother DCP-7010 USB scanner

On this machine the scanner works. But I had the same result on the
other machines before.

PS: sane-find-scanner delivers

U18.04: found USB scanner (vendor=0x04f9, product=0x0182) at libusb:001:003

U20.04: found USB scanner (vendor=0x04f9, product=0x0182) at libusb:002:003
