[sane-devel] Hello World! & having trouble with SANE

Hi, just introducing myself. 31 yo California, Mike, Linux Ubuntu Bionic 
(several years *nix experience). Canon MX-870.

Can't for the life of me figure out how to get the scanner on the Canon 
MX-870 MFS to work. I use Simple Scan and it connects to the printer, 
but then stops shortly through the scan.

Any help is welcome.
