Hi, It appears that xsane is very crash prone. Today I resumed scanning all my slides, and discover that Xsane 0.92 and now 0.93 are crashing quite often. The stack trace is as follow: (gdb) where #0 0x0ff0ca80 in log2l () from /lib/libm.so.6 #1 0x0ff0948c in powl () from /lib/libm.so.6 #2 0x10017d78 in xsane_create_preview_gamma_curve () #3 0x1001838c in xsane_update_gamma_curve () #4 0x10019444 in xsane_enhancement_by_gamma () #5 0x10019b5c in xsane_enhancement_by_histogram () #6 0x1001e238 in xsane_set_medium () #7 0x1001dfe8 in xsane_set_medium () #8 0x0f8cc7b0 in gdk_get_show_events () from /usr/lib/libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0 #9 0x0f6ae204 in g_vasprintf () from /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 #10 0x0f684ac0 in g_main_depth () from /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 #11 0x0f685fd0 in g_main_context_dispatch () from /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 #12 0x0f6863a0 in g_main_context_dispatch () from /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 #13 0x0f686bac in g_main_loop_run () from /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 #14 0x0fa8b6d8 in gtk_main () from /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 #15 0x10063428 in xsane_interface () #16 0x1006397c in main () I use xsane from Debian PowerPC, and I never had this problem with 0.90 on my old PowerPC machine (now, I'm using it remotely using saned because I don't have SCSI on the laptop). Somewhat related I have found a strange behaviour : sometime when increasing gamma, I just get the colors completely screwed up. Of course, I can't restore them after that :-/ Sometime I get other crashes. Any idea ? Where shall I file all those bugs ? Sane BTS on alioth ? Hub
