I am suffering from some problem with my Flatbed UMAX Astra 6850.
The main problem is that if a photo is scanned, a yellowish horizontal line
is appear on it.
Also some patterns are there in the scanned image (especially in darker
area).
The scanned image is full of grains.
I have been suffering with this problem for the last one year.

Kindly do reply with solution

Sincerely

I have the same problem and the same scanner. Even i had the same kernel
version. Use the 2.6.15 kernel version and the problems go away. Try it!
