I think videos can really work.
We can rotate videos in our colleges, offices, friends circle and even show them
in slums to our paathshala children.
Thanks and regards,

Hi frnds,
Well a nice initiative on the part of Green Team. I had a talk with Prachi
regarding the same and she had got some ideas which I am sharing wid u all
1. Let us find some unusual harmful effects of using fire crackers and start
spreading thm to every possible person through different mediums like by word
of mouth, through orkut and other online sources.
2. We can organize some competitions in school to sensitize the issue among
school children as they are the one who are more fascinated by these fire
crackers.
3. We can find some anti cracker videos on you tube showing harmful effects of
fire crackers & how children are being used in making of these crackers. We can
show these video in schools.
4. We can form some guidelines regarding fire crackers which usually schools
use to give to children before Diwali and we can mail the same to the Principal.
Rest Prachi can throw some light on all these ideas….
We need your suggestions…Please be quick & respond fast as Diwali is very close
now.

"GREEN DIWALI CAMPAIGN 2008"

In order to make this festive season more enjoyable and greener, Sanskaari
Welfare Society's Green Team launches "GREEN DIWALI CAMPAIGN 2008" on 9th Oct,
08 i.e. Dussehra and will end on 28th Oct, 08 i.e. Diwali.

The 20-day campaign will make people aware of ill effects of bursting
fire-crackers during the Hindu festive season and especially on Diwali. Every
year on during this time, the air gets highly polluted leading to health
problems to humans and affecting the Nature & Mother Earth. All the citizens of
Republic of India need to take pledge not to burst crackers this Diwali and be
a part of our green initiative. Our volunteers and friends need to make others
aware of all the possible effects of bursting crackers. You also need to tell
them on how to enjoy a safe and green Diwali.

"GREEN DIWALI CAMPAIGN 2008" will host awareness drives, informative sessions,
awareness through posters, and much more….

Come!! Join Us!! Be Green this Diwali!!

GREEN IS ON..!!
