It now seems likely that "devohii.sa.h" and "vovyaat" are instead really devo hii"sa.h (with space after 'o' and palatal sibilant instead of retroflex) and vo.avyaat (with avagraha). It is possibly another case of unreliable transliteration. Does anyone have a copy of the Bhoja V.rtti with the original devanaagarii so we can verify this?
