Mr. SriKrishnan answered it on August 26. He made small corrections to Mr. Raman's
verse so it would conform to a known meter (The verse as posted had some prosodial
problems), and his correction does away with "abhirama" in the verse. Mr. Raman agrees
with the meaning that Mr. SriKrishnan derived but neither Mr. Raman nor anyone else
has confirmed that Mr. SriKrishnan's changes represent the actual verse:

and will never enjoy the desired pleasures anywhere similar to this!

Now, as for your question on "abhirama," it means - pleasing, nice etc. The following
is how it's defined in the Cologne digital lexicon. When I tried my hand at
translating the shloka, I was flying by the seat of my pants. It's better for you to
go with the explanation given by Mr. SriKrishnan :-)

(monsoon storm cloud); abhiraamam = Rama loved by all; bhunakti = enjoys;

A Sanskrit Puzzle
This is a very intricate shloka from
sitaa-raavaNa-samvaadajharii
by Kamarajanagar Ramasastri
Dialogue between Ravana and Sita.
This is one of several shlokas.
Ravana condemns Rama upto the first half of the
fourth paada.
Sita replies in the second half of fourth paada.
atalpaM nidraaLuH rajaniSu kuvaak durgatatamaH
mahaakaataryaaDhyo manasi vidhuta-projvalayashaaH
vadhaaanmaaMsaadaanaaM bahuvimatalaabho janakaje
kathaM shlaaghyo raamaH -------

has lost his reputation, one who is of no better use than just to be killed and cut up
to be given in charity, and (still) you get offended oh! Janaka's daughter (when I
state the facts in palatable language)! How could one sing praises of Rama?
Seeta: You scum, with an ignoble nature readily betrayed by polluted speech, don't so
much as lay your hand on me!

I realize that there is vya^Ngyokti. I could only decipher the straight meaning as
follows.
atalpaM nidraaLuH rajaniSu = On nights disposed to sleep in foreign bed (i.e.,
unfaithful)
kuvaak = bad-mouther
durgatatamaH = extremely in bad (unfortunate) circumstances (or highly unlucky)
mahaakaataryaaDhyo manasi = very cowardly-witted in mind
vidhuta-projvalayashaaH = devoid of brilliant fame
kathaM shlaaghyo raamaH = (with all these qualifications) how is Rama worthy of
praise
Since Sita sees through the vya^Ngya (which I didn't get), she reasponds
khala tamasakR^it maa spR^isha giraa = Don't touch (sprinkle) words that are
mischievous and couched in ignorance
prahelikaayaa uttaram pratiikShamaaNaa...

Meaning:
O janakaja (Sita), How is Rama praiseworthy/great?
He lacks even a couch to sleep, is the most unlucky
fellow, wastes night
times sleeping instead of having fun,
is full of cowardice (perhaps because he gave up
kingdom instead
of fighting for it like a man), lost all wealth and
power,
...
Sita's reply
tam asakR^it = him, repeatedly
O Wicked one! do not touch him repeatedly with your
words.
tamasakR^it
O wicked one who does only tamasic acts, don't touch
(him/me) with words.
(almost meaning, 'don't taint me with your
tamas-filled words).
peekayar uvaacha:

vidhuta projvala yashaaH � having lost all high fame
maamsaadaanaaM vadhhaat � by the killing of meat eaters (raakshasas)
bahu-vimata-laabhah = conquering many enemies
katham shlaaghyaH = how is he praiseworthy
janakaje = hey siite
sita replies -
apparent meaning � khala - Oh! Wicked! Tam (raamaM)
asakR^t maa spR^sha giraa = do not repeatedly touch with your words.
The other meaning -
khala! = Oh! Wicked! taM = the letter �ta� asakR^t = repeatedly
maa spR^sha giraa = do not touch with speech.
(That means read without �ta� what you said)
Now it becomes �
raamaH (raama)
rajanishu =during the nights
alpam nidraaLuH � sleeping little
kuvaak durgamaH � cannot be reached by bad words.
manasi maha kaaryaaDhyaH = capable of reaching high
performance in his mind.
vidhuprojvala yashaaH � having fame like the shining moon
maamsaadaanaaM vadhhaat � by the killing of raakshasaas.
bahu-vimalaabhah = having high splendor
