I guess you just have to make them up. Here's my two cents.

Computer ---- gaNakayantra, gaNaka (made up)
Fan -------------vyajanam (sanskrit word)
Electricity ----vidyut-shaktti (sanskrit word)
Cell phone --- vinaatantrii-duurabhaaShiNi (wireless-telephone, made up)
E-mail ----------vidyut-lekhaa (made up, but does not sound right since I've
heard "vidyullekha" used in a different context in Telugu).

I know more than ten FREE Unicode Devanagari editors. Some are online,
some offline ; some have multi-script support. Many of these provide
phonetic transliteratation support ( type in Roman , get Devanaagari on
the fly) , some have multi- keyboard support. These tools are being widely
used by Hindi, Nepali, Marathi and other language blogger community . Many
discussion groups are also using Devanagari for their discussions.

Here I list some tools and discussion fora :

0) Aksharmaalaa

1) My personal fevorite is the Baraha 6.0 you can download free from
http://baraha.com/

It supports Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, samsakrit, marathi also. It has some
font conversion facilities also.

2) Hindi Unicode Generator (HUG) ver 2.0 for quick Hindi Editing.
This can be used ONline or OFFline . It is free.

http://hindini.com/tool/hug2.htm

3) UniNagari : The simple, no-frills Devanaagarii typewriter. Free.

http://www.kalusa.org/hindi/uninagari/

4) Hindi Unicode Repair Tool for reconverting "garbage" into Unicode.
There are some application softwares (eg Yahoo mail ) which corrupt
Unicoded Devanagari. This tool recovers the original text effectively.

5) देवनागरी ( Devanaagari
): to know all about using Devanagari on your computer.

6)Y! Group : Hindi Forum to ask for any help on DEVANAGARI.

7) Please visit following site for more info on Devanagari etc
