Hello Yogesh,

I am glad to hear that you are doing MA in Sanskrit Grammar from Pune.
I think that if you did your Phd from Pune or Banaras (Varanasi) Hindu
University
or any other place in India, you will have best literary resources available
in Sanskrit.

After getting your Phd from any place in India you will have great
opportunities
available at any good university in USA or Germany or Britain or Holland etc.

as a visiting Professor or as a post-doctoral scholar or researcher or
lecturer
etc. at a higher $ pay scale. And your contribution to both India and any
foreign
country will be very positive.

But on the other hand if you feel strongly on doing Phd in any foreign
country then
the best place is to search on Google and the University website for
available funding for
scholarships they have available. I think it changes from year to year at
various universities
based on their current budgets.

Also, I was curious, approximately how many students are pursuing BA in
Sanskrit in Pune ? and also approx how many MA and how many Phd in Sanskrit at
Univ of Pune ?

Please let me know when you get a chance.

Thanks.
