Position Description:

Participates in strategic planning, solutions development, proposal
development, white papers, etc.

Applies human performance principles, methodologies, and technologies to
the design of human-machine systems and products. Develops and implements
research methodologies and statistical analysis plans to test and evaluate
developmental prototypes used in new products and processes, such as
cockpit designs, user workstations, and computerized human models.
Interfaces with design engineers to establish system design, operating, and
training requirements and to ensure optimized human-machine interfaces.
Identifies and analyzes technological problems or risks, performs
theoretical human factors investigations, and develops and implements
research and analysis plans.

Skills Requirements:

At least 11 year’s experience in usability and human factors engineering
for software systems.

Knowledge of Section 508 standards and requirements.



Desired skills

Experience leading usability testing projects, compiling results, and
presenting recommendations to key decision makers.

*Minimum Qualifications*

*General Experience:*Must have three (3) years of computer experience in at
least two of the following disciplines: system analysis, system
programming, application programming, and equipment analysis.



*Specialized Experience:*

·         At least one (1) year of experience developing applications using
advanced technologies, including Internet protocols or web-based
technology. Technologies include *HTML, CGI applications, PERL or
JavaScript, and Java.*

·         At least two (2) years of performing in a lead role designing
complex business applications.

·         At least five (5) years expertise in the following technologies:

o   *Windows Presentation Foundation*

o   *Windows Workflow Foundation*

o   *Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0/3.0/3.5*

o   *Development experience in Visual Basic .NET 2005+ and Visual Studio

o   *Experience in SQL Server 2005+*

·         At least two (2) years of experience in *Crystal Reports and
Microsoft SQL Reporting*.

·         At least eight (8) years of experience in Information System
Management (IFSM)



*Preferred Qualifications*

·         A Master's Degree is preferred and Excellent Communication Skills
are preferred.

·         Experience in Microsoft Visual SourceSafe/team foundation server
is preferred



*Work to be accomplished:*

·         Must be able to translate applications requirements into
web-based solutions using available technology.

·         Must be able to apply new and emerging technologies to the
software development process.

·         Apply existing technologies to the software development process.

·         Responsible for developing business, data, systems, and
infrastructure models.
