| Duties & Responsibilites : | Responsibilities:
- Create technical design documents, user guides, and developer guides.
- Develop project process documentation for application teams.
- Document user access roles for the agency’s information systems including COTS and internally developed - - systems. Create documentation templates as required.
- Confer with customer representatives in business units, audit department, and development teams. Interview business users to become familiar with business processes so they can be incorporated into easy-to-follow user documentation.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, while working independently and with others.
- Complete assignments with minimal oversight. Take the lead on assigned artifact development projects including scheduling SME meetings.
- Responsible for following established style guide and department procedures.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of technical writing experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of intended audience.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Must be flexible and have the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Highly motivated individual able to grasp complex software and learn quickly. A sample of prior work must be presented at interview. Please attach a writing sample with the resume if possible.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word and Visio.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
