| Duties & Responsibilites : |
Responsible for data anlaysis and database management. Maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning
The goal is to ensure a comprehensive review of factors leading to maternal deaths in NYS, and to have sufficient information to develop strategies and interventions to decrease the risk of these deaths.
Upload of new birth and death data from Vital Statistics and new hospital records from the Statewide Planning and Research Cooperative System.
Design and implementation of modifications to database and data collection fields.
Maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning.
Generating reports.
Conduct queries and data analyses.
Skill required:
- Minimum of 60 months experience on Access database design and table relationships.
- Minimum of 60 months proficiency in ensuring valid data entry.
- Minimum of 60 months programming experience in Visual Basic.
- Minimum of 60 months expertise in data upload to Access database, creating new tables linked to existing tables.
- Minimum of 60 months proficiency in SQL queries and macros.
- Minimum of 60 months experience in writing user guides to instruct the end-user on how to navigate the database, gather requirements from the users and incorporate them into the database.
- Minimum of 60 months experience with with SAS/Access interface to ODBC.
- Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Computer Science.
- Minimum of 60 months experience in data analysis, visualization and presentation. |
