The Database Administrator is responsible for data analysis and database management.
The Database Administrator is responsible for data analysis and database management.
Database Administrators typically are involved in maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning.
Database Administrators have a range of skills and knowledge of the utilities and production tools used for data storage management to support the Application Team.
Years of Relevant Experience:5 to 6 years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study
Role Description:
Highly skilled at database design, installations, conversions.
Responsible for database backup and recovery procedures, access security and database integrity, physical data storage design and data storage management.
Required Skills:
Experience in IT Database design of relational databases adn database normalization Required 8 Years
Experience as a SQL server database developer (T-SQL, stored procedures, optimizing queries etc) Required 5 Years
Experience data cleansing/conversion using scripts in SQL server Required 4 Years
Experience in ETL/Automation using Integration Services (SSIS) Required 2 Years
Experience in Data Warehouse using SQL Server 2008/2012 Required 2 Years
Experience in SQL Server security and maintenance of security objects Required 3 Years
Experience in understanding and enforcing SQL Server Standards Required 3 Years
Experience using SQL Server standards in creation and deployment of database objects Required 3 Years
Experience working with large databases of 300 GB or greater(must be able to verify this) Required 3 Years
Undertanding of object promotion strategies between databases in different development environments Required 3 Years
Excellent interpersonal skills both oral and written Required |
