| Duties & Responsibilites : | The Project Manager is responsible for the operational and financial oversight of all day-to-day activities carried out by the various projects, efforts, and impacts within his/her assigned Program from initiation through delivery, and providing schedule
Areas of responsibility include:
1. Program & Portfolio Governance: defining/clarifying the roles and responsibilities, and providing oversight as needed
2. Management: Oversight and reporting for all projects with regard as how they pertain to the overall program
3. Financial Management: Adhering and enforcing the financial aspects of the project, controlling spend, working with finance partners and providing all reporting to finance
4. Planning: preparation and oversight of program plan - tracking and reporting on deliverables and activities at all levels
Detailed Responsibilities:
• Manage program activities for multiple projects across all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure.
• Work collaboratively with product, development, business, and finance teams
• Create, manage and track project vehicles, including, but not limited to:
• Project schedules
• Detailed project plans
• Project scope statements
• Cost estimates
• Resource plans
• Risk and issues logs
• Status reports
• Resource time tracking
• Financial Reconciliations
• Tailor processes to meet the needs of individual projects.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of projects and staff; communicate with project teams as necessary to ensure project deliverables are on schedule and within cost parameters.
• Communicate and collaborate with partners as needed in regards to project deliverables including managing expectations, and status reporting.
Experience, Skills, Academic:
•Bachelor of Science in engineering, computer science or management science is required.
•Formal certification in project management and process management is desirable.
•8+ years of software development, process engineering, and project management experience, operating in functional and matrixed organizations is required.
Flexible and highly motivated. Detailed oriented and able to drive tasks to completion with minimal oversight.
