Duties & Responsibilites :

-This position is a Project Manager that will manage and coordinate all tasks associated with one or more small-to-large projects or a component of a larger project with minimal to moderate complexity and risk
-Under limited supervision, the Project Manager manages and coordinates all tasks associated with one or more small-to-large projects or a component of a larger project of minimal to moderate complexity and risk.
-This is an individual contributor position with no responsibilities for human resource management (e.g., hiring, performance management).
- Candidates must be self-starters and highly motivated.

• Follows established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of Medicaid IT Services.
• Develops and maintains documentation throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Is responsible for managing and directing the initiation, planning, execution, control, and closeout phases of the project lifecycle for small to large projects.
• Coordinates and manages projects using project management methodologies from inception through completion.
• Develops work plan(s).
• Controls scope and schedule to ensure project deliverables, milestones and required tasks completed as planned.
• Oversees the development and execution of communication plan.
• Prepares status reports and provides updates to project stakeholders, sponsors, champion, etc.
• Identifies potential problems.
• Facilitates problem resolution by determining or recommending and implementing a risk mitigation strategy.
• This position may require working more than 40 hours per week on an as-needed basis, including weekends.

-Responsible for managing one or more highly complex or enterprise-wide IT program(s) consisting of multiple projects.
-Develops the program strategy, supporting business case and various enterprise-wide high-level project plans.
-Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business.
-Communicates with IT leadership, business leadership and IT Business Consultants to communicate program strategy, direction and changes.
-Responsible for delivering all projects contained in the IT project portfolio on time, within budget and meeting the strategic and business requirements.
-Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers.
-Partners with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise.
-Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools.
-This is a single or multiple incumbent(s) position that typically exists in a small to medium size enterprise with multiple project managers, project leaders and/or project support staff as direct reports.

REQUIRED SKILLS
Project Management Experience:

• Strong Organizational Skills.
• Strong Analytical, Conceptual, and Problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel experience.

Soft Skills Required:
• Superb written and oral communication skills.
• Self Starter and Motivator.
• Ability to adapt to change and be flexible.
• Excellent Time Management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment
• Willingness and ability to effectively engage with people and organization on a continuous basis.

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Healthcare Claims Processing.
• Microsoft Project.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor's degree and experience managing large projects of moderate complexity and risk.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
Project Management Professional (PMP), preferred.
