| Duties & Responsibilites : | Customers Description:
- 2 or more years’ experience.
- Basic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies o Basic understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management).
- Basic understanding of testing tools and unit test scripting, and testing methodologies.
- Experience using (or an understanding of the use of) an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse).
- Understanding of basic Database Administration.
- Understanding of quality and security standards.
Technical Knowledge needed:
Clientis looking for a candidate with 2-3 years of development experience. They will be paired up with a Sr. member of the team who will be able to mentor them. The manager would like for the candidate to have experience on a basic level with application servers (they use JBoss) so any basic functions like calling back an operation, or changing security settings will be enough experience. When it comes to SQL they just need to be able to do basic SQL queries, table joins, and stored procedures. The manager also continually stressed Struts experience.
Technologies and Tools:
Must Have:
- Java (currently using 1.7)
- J2EE
- JSP
- Struts
- Any Applications Server experience (They use JBoss)
Big Pluses:
- SSRS
- Clarity
Nice to have:
- Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Eclipse
- Ant
Team Dynamics:
It is a collaborative environment. They will be doing their own programming although they’ll have guidance from a Sr. Developer. They use a proprietary methodology that will be taught to them on the job. |
