Company Group Details of Mid/Senior Java Developer
-The Mid/Senior Java Developer will join a reputable Business Processing company who focuses on providing payroll, talent management, and human resource management solutions for employers and automotive dealerships around the world.
- You will be joining a medium sized development team of 10 other development resources.
Position Overview:
-Application Developers may develop and review requirements, create design documents, write programs, package, test, configure and deploy software. Application developers also participate and collaborate with other stakeholder including security, quality assurance, training, project management, engineering, hosting, procurement when required to assist in other aspects of their projects.
-Application Developers are expected to be results-oriented, have knowledge of the relevant platforms and environments, and be familiar with business process, functions and data within their domain to provide innovative, insightful, and secure solutions.
-Designs, codes, and maintains hosted client/server and web applications with a focus on high product availability, optimum performance, and security.

Senior Java Developer Responsibilities:
• Develops high-quality well-documented code based on specifications developed in conjunction with application experts from other departments within the organization.
• Performs thorough debugging and unit testing of code before turning it over to the Quality Assurance Group.
• Determines how changes to existing code/functionality will impact existing clients, customer support, training, etc.
• Works with the Quality Assurance Group (as needed) to resolve defects and answer technical questions.
• Provides technical support to the client services organization to determine resolutions/work-arounds for client issues. Based of the criticality of an issue this support may require the engineer to work quickly in a stressful situation
Senior Java Developer Qualifications:
Required:
• Four-year degree in Information Systems (or related degree) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years experience developing in Java.
• Minimum of 2 years with EJB 3.0
• Minimum of five years experience developing in _javascript_
• Strong Structured Query Language (SQL) skills are required.
• Strong PL\SQL skill required.
• Ability to read data models and understand database table relationships is required.
Strong Plus:
• Experience with JSF.
• Experience/knowledge with Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems.
• Experience with Oracle 9i or higher.
• Experience developing applications that utilize a commercial Relational
Database Management System (RDBMS).
• Experience with Human Resources, Benefits, or Payroll applications.
• Agile Development
• Apache Tomcat
• IBM WebSphere
Technical Skills:
• Ability to logically solve problems within the specified time frames.
• Able to complete assignments that are defined in general terms.
• Self-motivated to direct own work flow in a manner that maximizes results and meets organizational goals and schedules.
• Able to transfer conceptual knowledge from current skill set in order to quickly develop expertise in new products, programming languages, or platforms.
