I have been using SAP DB for quite some time now and have been very happy with it,
especially in
terms of J2EE app development. The jdbc driver is continually updated and for what I
do works
quite well, even under the stress of ecperf measurements, which is reasonably
stressful. SQL is
SQL, with various flavours having different nuances of course. If your developers are
proficient
in using SQL Server and especially Oracle, they will have no problems with SQP DB SQL.
I would
highly recomend using SAP DB with any J2EE app, large, medium, or small. Plus, should
there be a
problem this list is very helpful and the development staff get any serious problems
turned around
very quickly - much more quickly in my opionion than any of the large commercial
shops.
