Hi,

I have a problem with the replication manager connecting to the database
server. The script which calls repmcli worked until yesterday. Strange!

When I run the script now, it says:

Error connecting user bkadm to database BKEXTTST on local host: -25004
A connection to the database could not be established: 1 = cannot connect to
server socket

Any ideas what the problem might be? The database is running.

Another strange behavior is, that the replication manager does not write to
repserver.log but creates log files like repserver_2002030800090359.log. This
file tells me

/ E -25019: Error opening server log file
'/var/opt/sapdb/indep_data/wrk/repserver.log' (File cannot be locked). Opened
temporary log file 'repserver_2002030800090359.log'.

Has that anything to do with the above connection problems?

I hope one of the specialist can help me.

Thanks in advance,
Ralf.
