Hi,
I am preparing myself for the worst, a server crash. So, I try to install
Sapdb on another computer and then loads a recent backup. To be more
specific, I try to import a backup database backup from a Linux server to a
Windows 2k machine (my laptop). Both systems are using sapdb 7.3.0.21.

I created the database with the same parameters for the datafiles, the
logfiles and the backup mediums (a simple hack of create_demo_db). Then I
copied the backup of the Linux machine on the laptop and I tried to recover
the backup with dbmcli.

I got the following lines:

C:\Program Files\SAPDB\depend\misc>dbmcli -d TEST -u dbm,dbm
dbmcli on TEST>db_cold
OK

---
dbmcli on TEST>util_connect dbm,dbm
OK

---
dbmcli on TEST>recover_start data DATA
ERR
-24988,ERR_SQL: sql error
-903,Message not available,blockcount mismatch

---
dbmcli on TEST>

There is surely something I am doing wrong since I believe such a procedure
is a requirement for a database.

Any hints are welcomed!

Yves Trudeau
