There is the command SET FORMAT ... to change this, but it doesn't work in ODBC mode because the ODBC driver parses the values. So it has to know the format. If you want to keep the application portable between Adabas D and SAP DB, you could use ISO format and execute SET FORMAT ISO in the Adabas D case.
Hi,

thanks for the answer, but I was hoping to reduce the amount of effort to migrate to SAP DB. The ODBC driver does not seem to help me though. Meanwhile I found out, that the old Perl interface SAP::DBTech::sapdb is still included in the sapdb-scriptif-7.3.0.29-1.i386.rpm package. This interface excepts INTERNAL date/time values!

I know that this interface is no longer supported, but can I consider it as stable? Our initial tests have been quite promising...

Thanks in advance,
Arne

PS: Is there any chance the ODBC driver will support different date/time formats in the future?
