After testing everything on my development server (Windows 2000) I'm ready
to install my VB/ADO/ODBC/SAPDB application on my client's server (NT
4.00.1381). I downloaded all of the latest tools and database software. I
used all of the defaults on the installation and did all of the work under
the administrator's account. At first blush everything has seemed to install
just fine. After making sure the services had started, I started up the SAP
Database Manager and attempted to install a new database name BETA1 using
the wizard. After entering the correct server name, administrator and
password I get a DBM Wiz error message: "An error occurs by installing
database 'BETA1' -24965 logon to system failed [user-system...]"

Thinking that I obviously typed in something wrong for either of the 3
fields I rechecked everything and tried several more times with always the
same results. I tried another user with admin permissions and got the same
results.

Any clues as to why I'm getting this error message and any suggestions on
what I can do about it?

Cheers,
Jon
