> As said, we have escalated this to SAP, but they claim this is a Legato problem; and > reverse. please reread point A). In your last post you stated, that you are using Oracle 8.1.7.4.1. This is not a mailing list about the database system Oracle or a mailing list for SAP 6.10 running on Oracle, this is a mailing list about the database system SAP DB. Please don't confuse SAP DB with the SAP 6.10 you are running. The first is a database system the second is an application relying on a database system (be it Oracle or SAP DB). So although the answers of the SAP support did not help you so far, point B) is still valid, as the SAP people frequenting this list can not help you with backup problems concerning your database system Oracle. >If we change USERPROFILE in the system environment, I suppose this would change for >all users, >which is not desirable. Have you tried it? How about setting USERPROFILE for all other users explicitly? That should override the system wide setting. >Wouldn't it be possible to use DBM_CONFIGSET to redefine USERPROFILE, TMP and/or TEMP >(from the >win2000 default of >"%USERPROFILE\Local Settings\Temp" to eg. "C:\Documents and Settings\S01ADM\TMP" , >like > DBMCLI DBM_CONFIGSET -raw TMP C:\Documents and Settings\S01ADM\TMP And that is even working. But, and that is a BIG BUT, you would need to substitute your Oracle by SAP DB before. If you would like to learn more about SAP DB, have a look onto www.sapdb.org.
