I have tried to have more SAPDB Versions on one machine. Even I have asked a question
to the mailinglist how to configure this opportunity. Please refer to my mail
concerning this topic. Unfortunately I didn't receive any corresponding answer from
SAPDB.

Cheers

Subject: Migration issues; running different DB versions

Hello All,
my last mail questions got lost somewhere so I repost them in more clear form:

I have a server version 7.3.0.20 running on SuseLinux8.1, isnstalled using RPM
packages, and I want to migrate to 7.4.xx

The 7.4 migration documentation says I must have 0.25 at least to migrate the given
migration path (when using sdbinst). Is there a way to migrate from 7.3.0.20 to 7.4.xx
(for example using a cold backup)

And is there a way to have a 7.3.0.20 database running besides a 7.4. database on the
same machine? I couldn't find any information in the documentation about doing this.

TIA for any help,
Manfred
