Thank you Chris I have Django 1.0 and Satchmo 7.0 installed. "python manage.py satchmo_check" executed in src/mystore/ returns the same error as above : "Error: cannot import name newforms"
For testing purpose, I installed a second Ubuntu partition on my hard drive and tried to install Satchmo 0.7 with Django 0.96a (instead of 1.0).
