Does anyone know of people who've messed with "smart paper" displays, or
with diy EL panels? That Tin-oxide conductive glass? With EL paint? I
see the paint from 3M, and various sources of transparent conductor (even
flexible plastic,) but I've never heard of anyone trying it. Maybe it's
too dim for home-built use?

Another problem is personal schedule. For Weird Science Salon we were
jumping from house to house, and trying various times. For us, saturdays
didn't work: the attendence was low. Neither did daytime. "After Dinner"
seemed to draw the biggest crowd. Sunday night wasn't bad, but really it
only worked well on weekday nights, and we picked fridays because of
various peoples' schedules. So, where did the "Saturday" come from? I
hope it wasn't just a random, untested choice. I've always wondered if the
"Saturday" was a serious drawback, while "thursdayhouse" (or whatever)
would've consistently had major attendance. But a bit hard to ever change
it, when "Saturday" is part of the name.
