Follow-up Comment #4, task #8575 (project administration):
Some parts of the Hurd are GPLv2 only, because they come directly from Linux
(for example drivers), and you know the licensing of Linux (I had another
shallow look (I normally just code in Python) into the Hurd code lately - the
parts used seem to be from Linux 2.0).
So GPLv3+ isn't possible, since it couldn't be linked to these parts.
So GPLv2+ is the license for PyHurd.
