#231: set("frame.size", ...) with icecast (ogg) streaming causes hidden failures

This only seems to crop up on the machine in the office (which will be the
production box when things get finished off)...

The script I'm using is the same as the one used in #219 that was
initially submitted but with set("frame.size", 320) at the start. (The
frame size doesn't seem to matter, I've used values from 80-320 under a
the Intrepid real time patched kernel).

What normally happens is that the Icecast connection will disconnect, but
there will be no entry in the log, and no attempt to reconnect is made.
When this is off, the script will try to reconnect, and normally a log
entry is made (Likewise the connection is more stable).

If I can extract more info I will do so, as I realise this is not a very
 technical summary.
