I've found part of it is down to having my frame size to 320 in Liquidsoap
(JACK was set to 256). It seems removing the set frame size directive has
lowered the crackling sound, but it's still fairly regular. If I connect
the capture direct to JACK I don't have any interference, so it seems this
is been added when Liquidsoap has not had time to handle the frame buffer
or something on those lines.
