We've gone months now with much success with the latest beta release, but the one week I'm not there for the show, the people on site were unable to get the live feed running. There was some discussion as to whether the streamer was getting a signal from the board or not, so having some sort of visual display was requested. > There is also a pending feature request of > http://dev.sourcefabric.org/browse/LS-465 to export the RMS (ie the volume > of the audio) on the telnet interface, I could implement this quickly if you > need it... This would have been sufficient to confirm some signal to the computer and to liquidsoap. I'd like to see this happen but there's certainly no urgency to it. When I got back to the studio and tried things, I was able to get the live feed going with no trouble, so I wrote this off under as a PEBCAK error but it'd have been handy to verify a signal (or lack thereof).
