Hi Nick;
THANKS so much for your help! I did get Liquidsoap to actually play a stream
YES’. But I did not yet get it to play a single or playlist. Still working on
that. I’m just happy I actually heard sound. Thought it would never work on
Win32. BTW a note as to soundcards I’m using an ASI 6140 Broadcast soundcard
it’s a bit touchy but Liquidsoap worked perfectly.
My ultimate goal is to have this app crossfade between 2 input stream sources.
One being a radio automation stream and the other being a live DJ, and direct
either one to a single different output stream. I believe that Liquidsoap can
do this?? Do you, or anyone you know, know where I can get help doing this????
Best
Joe

Subject: Re: [Savonet-users] Problem with Using Liquid Soap on Win32
Hi,
Another new user here. I'm on linux 64 so take my advice with a grain of salt
but I would start by reducing the .liq down to almost nothing (i.e. get rid of
the crossfade) turn up logging ( set("log.level",4) ) and then work on
eliminating all log errors. So for the "Unknown protocol "'C" in URI
"'C:/Charts - Dance Girl.mp3'"!" error, try as a single instead of a playlist (
intro = single("C:/Charts - Dance Girl.mp3") ) And try it these ways too:
C:\Charts - Dance Girl.mp3 (turn slash around)
\Charts - Dance Girl.mp3 (get rid of C:)
Charts - Dance Girl.mp3 (put song in same path as .liq)
Hopefully, once you've gotten rid of all the errors, it will play.
Or pray for a response from one of the LS devs. But pray hard. :)

Hi Nick;
Thanks for the reply. It was my typo in the email the actual file name was
“test.liq” I wish it was that simple.
Here is what I have found so far.
The manual states;
liquidsoap ’out(playlist("playlist.pls"))’
This does not work on windows.
BUT this does seem to work??? I have wget installed on this machine and a sound
card. But it does not play.??

Joe,
Not sure which is the typo, but your command line say test.lig and your note
says it is test.liq
(note the difference between the 'G', and the 'Q'...
Could it be that it's just trying to tell you that it can't find the file?

When I try to run from a command line I get this!
C:\Program Files\Savonet\Liquidsoap>Liquidsoap.exe .\test.lig

Here is test.liq:
set("log.stdout",true)
