just tried with symbian os phone.

it worked briefly, i was able to get HELP response with all that list of commands, but afterwards somehow it didn't want to speak anymore. what i also noticed is that after initial telnet connect liquidsoap process eats up several extra megs of ram, and then sits there but if i force-close telnet connection, ram usage steadily grows KB by KB... i was able to grow it from casual 40MB to 800+MB and then stopped the process, looks like a memory leak! it seems fine though if i don't tinker with telnet...

There's been a lot of changes since the last windows build do lower CPU usage could come from a lot of different places. Still, great news!

I'll look at the telnet issue. Have you been able to try with a linux client?
