About the fainting in the bath tub. From what I've been told, their blood
vessels run so close to the skin that if the water is too warm, it will
cause them to "faint", by lowering the water temperature to cool, it will
bring them back. Normally, I just bathe mine in luke warm water. The rest
of the info you sent was very spot on.

Oh, and with the teeth, watch out when they get real excited if you are
playing with them, cause the love to "nit" you across any skin they can get
ahold of. This is a grooming thing to them, done with the front teeth and
man, will it leave "stitch marks"..ask Whitney, she loves to do this to
me...LOL..And oh the ear gasams..do they ever love those...

These are not major problems and not all greys do them, but they can be a
surprise for the new owner.

if they are not cold, it is likely that the dog is just after attention or
food.

simply means "Oh, this feels so good". My father, who is not a greyhound
owner but has a Boston Terrier, when he rubbed one of my greys ears and they
started the groan jumped back thinking it was a growl. I informed him
otherwise and now he doesn't panick when he hears the sound.

when I first came home from work. Luckily, I was warned about this. It can
be scary to see teeth clacking in front of your face. It was Magic's way of
saying - "I am so happy your home! I missed you so much".

Luckily none of my dogs do this but I have heard of it happening to others.
There are a number of different theories about why this happens, from the
water being to warm to the dogs relaxing so much that they collapse. The
new owner needs to be made aware to keep the dogs head out of the water and
they will recover.
