If you're not using the paid Scalr plan then I think the instructions I just
sent won't work because of the name server setting for your domain.  I'm
afraid I don't know how to do that if you're hosting the Scalr software
yourself.

I'm using the community SVN version, and I'm using the AMIs that are
displayed in the interface - so the short answer is yes. I thought of
eventually using custom ones, but haven't gotten to that point yet.
