Thanks for your input, I'll try to keep up with your changes Yorn (although
the link to your site <http://dev.streamnik.de/oggvideotools.html> seems to
be down :-(

In the meantime, would it be possible to accomplish this outside of the ogg
container? So, for instance, could I split up a raw video source in VegasPro
or some other editor and then encode the separate parts to dirac and
concatenate them prior to placing them in an ogg container? Please forgive
my ignorance of the process. If anyone knows of a way to ... divide up a
source video file (with audio) ... convert it to dirac/vorbis ... and
re-assemble the dirac/vorbis encoded segments into one seamless video (with
audio) that I can then place in some container like ogg or Metroska (or
whatever) please let me know.
