The arrows need to be made slightly wider, and with
canvas bindings to enter into each variation.

I've noticed this myself, and wondered
if not the real answer is to make that variation box modal? Popping up
in a tab, like most other windows now do? Otherwise it will always be
vulnerable to loss of focus from user actions and maybe other sources of
focus loss.
NilsHmmm... There is already hyper-links for variations and mainline
in the bottom of the game info widget. They *are* easy to over-loooked though,
being smallish, and often scrolled off the bottom of the widget.
