I'm thinking of getting a Table Computer, it will not be made by Apple or be shipped with any kind of Windows, and that leaves us with Android or some rarities.
I'm aware that running SCID or any of the forks I know about on Android is more than just compiling and running, so far as I've been able to see TCL/TK isn't there either, This doesn't help the search: http://wiki.tcl.tk/1691 and this suggest TCL isn't there: http://wiki.tcl.tk/20310 but its almost two years old. There are HECL (similar to TCL) and JACL (TCL written in Java), but I've not yet found anything like TK. OTOH there is this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.scid.android&hl=en and there other means to run Stockfish and such. SCID's fine on my HP Mini (screen 1024x600) so the tablet screens would be fine. What am I asking? If anyone here feels inclined to try programming for Androids, here's a project for consideration. -- Santa ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
