First video here is interesting http://www.raspberrypi.org/ > > For a start. > > And search for "embedded Linux" etc. etc. etc. but no. The tablet for what tablets do. I have made my choice, it's an ASUS TF300T with keyboard/dock. With the dock, it folds up like a netbook with 15 hours' battery life. Without dock, it's much like other 10" tablets with Android 4.0. I've installed Google Goggles and some other barcode-reading software, and SCID on the go. SCID on the go is better than advertised. It's written in Java, and while I expect it can indeed read SCID databases, it can actually create its own. Directly from TWIC and some other places. It also has header and position searches. One thing it does not do is merge new downloads into an existing database, so I have separate databases for each TWIC download, one for each round (tiebreaks separately) of the World Cup arc. Oh, SCID on the go comes with critter, but _that_ isn't good for battery life. Major problem to date Everyman's ebooks are not (yet) usable on Android. New In Chess has quite a few chess ebooks, as far as I could see all from Everyman's. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
