I bought an ASUS TF300T including the docking station. With the docking station attached, it functions pretty much as a netbook, but with a much better screen. The docking station provides a keyboard and full-sized USB and SD card sockets, and a second battery giving a total battery life of around 15 hours. I've installed SCID on the go, it's better than advertised in that it can create SI4 databases. It can also download direct from some sites including TWIC. Unfortunately, one download == one database, so each week of TWIC goes into its own database. It's crook when downloading a tournament's games, round by round. It comes with critter. I've also found droidfish, based on stockfish (and it's UI is loaned to SCID on the go) and Stockfish. One thing to remember when programming for tables is that "mouse clicks" are done with fingers and thumbs which are not very precise. And my tablet notices if my finger or thumb hovers near the screen - actual contact isn't required and this is often interpreted as a long press, akin to a double click, with generally undesirable consequences - instead of SCID advancing move by move, it skips to the end. -- Santa ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
