Thanks, Alexander,

I installed Open Chess a few days ago. I requested the "PC Tools and Conduit"
to robolaf(at)freenet.de as soon as I realized there was no easy import method,
but have received no response, yet.

Thanks again,
Cory

OpenChess handles them. Probably you want to check out
palmopenchess.sf.net. As play/analysis engines several are
available Toga II beeing the strongest as far as I see.

Exort from scid is possible by means of pgn export and then
using the "octools" convertor program. Unfortunately it's
closed source binary only (available for Linux and Win32). I
use it for quite some time now, it works very well.

A simple "workflow" for getting games to the palm would
thous include select the games via scids filter, export them
to pgn, run "octools m=pdb i=infile.pgn o=outfile.pdb"
against this file and transfer the resulting DB to the Palm.
This could, I think, automatised in a simple way by offering
some "export to palm" menue entry that just calls the
externals in sequence.

OC 3 just has one slight drawback: it can handle only one DB
(named whatever you like). So to use several DBs on the Palm
I store them on my Memory Stick and copy one of them to the
device by means of UniCMD.
